The history of these museum was just a building or a small fortress to be exactly. The fortress was build in 1200 by Philip Augustus. When the time passed by, the building was made into a palace on 14th century. Later on 1793, museum collection were added into some side of the building and later its officially declared as Museum by President Francois Mitterand on 1981.
